Growing up on an Australian farm gave me a love for hands-on work and grassroots businesses, and taught me the importance of hard work, pragmatism, and the subtle art of moving cows from one paddock to the next.
After studying Engineering and Economics at Sydney University, I joined a startup as a data scientist, working into the wee hours of the morning to help grow it from a small team to a company of 120.

An MBA at Harvard then led me to the US, and I've every minute of being in the States.

I've spent my spare time – and sacrificed the prime years of my ankle mobility – playing rugby with my local club, where I was affectionately described by friends as the best teammate with the worst hand-eye coordination.

In both business and life, I’m all about straightforward solutions and finding practical opportunities.

Having grown up in a family of entrepreneurs and military folk, I learned the value of rolling up my sleeves and getting things done.
My first foray into entrepreneurship was in fifth grade and involved me getting chased away for selling golf balls outside my local club. I loved it.

After my studies at Durham University in the UK, I was selected for the Diplomatic Service as the youngest officer in my cohort. Over five years, I had the time of my life running teams spanning all ages, backgrounds, and religions in countries like Bangladesh and West Africa. Somehow I still find myself missing the goat stews and finding sand in places it shouldn't be.

While my time as a UK diplomat was rewarding, I decided to move across the pond for an MBA at Harvard Business School and to pursue my entrepreneurial goals.

Outside of work I am a keen runner and tennis player, but sometimes running down to the pub for a beer with mates is good enough.
